Job Description and Qualification:


1. Produces: 

- monthly, quarterly and annual physician financial accounting (accrual-based) reports

- month end financial statements and monthly journal entries

- financial statement variance analysis and contractual and bad debt reserve analysis

- balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Company’s policy with no reconciling items greater than 30 days

- daily cash balance reports

- cost allocations within the practice financials

- capital reporting

2. Assists with the capital process by: 

- completing monthly capital forecast

- overseeing capital approval process

- acting as project manager for each request

- ensuring invoices are matched to Capital Expenditure Request (CER), Purchase Order (PO) and paid

3. Ensures cash balances are properly reported in the general ledger system.

4. Adheres to the Company’s HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.

5. Prepare journal entries to record monthly activity, including cash, revenue, fees, liabilities, chargebacks, transfers and adjustments.

6. Prepare month end close and cash reports.

7. Adhere to cash policies and procedures.

8. Identify, analyze and research variances between the payment processor, bank and general ledger.

9. Participate in physician on-boarding and off-boarding activities related to capital. Educate practice management on capital expenditure request (CER) process; approvals, invoicing and tracking


1. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with physicians, management, vendors, consultants and other clients.

2. Ability to efficiently organize large amounts of information, manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines with attention to detail in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.

3. Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.

4. Comprehensive conceptual problem solving and analytical skills utilizing complex spreadsheets, comparison tools and other evaluation systems as needed.

1-3 years in the Finance, Accounting or Audit field.

5. Preferably with Progressive practical accounting experience in an accrual-based financial accounting / reporting environment with month end close responsibilities; Healthcare and/or physician practice experience; S2K general ledger experience.

6. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferably CPA, but not required.

7. Proficient MS Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software packages 

8. Must be willing to work in BGC and Night Shift.
