Job Description and Qualification:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of overall financials including accounts
payable, accounts receivable and general ledger. A thorough knowledge of IFRS GAAP (Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles) and an ability to create and administer internal standards is required.  Additionally, the accounting manager should be available to attend different transition projects as needed and oversee initiating the hiring process
of new team members for the team in Manila.

Job Description
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Ensure that the GL team is performing accounting activities on time and accurately while safeguarding the correctness of the financials
  • Design and operate KPI/SLAs of the accounts payable team to ensure that invoice processing is done within agreed turnaround time accurately.
  • Ensure that AR/Banking Team can record cash and cash equivalents correctly and timely which includes bank statement processing, cash applications, outgoing payments, and other adjustments.
  • Review reconciliations timely, accurately and in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Perform and review monthly close process to ensure books and records are accurately stated andall close procedures are completed.
  • Communicate process objectives, steps, and changes to ensure processes are performed in compliance with company close schedule.
  • Identify and analyze process errors and anomalies (e.g., coding errors, variance analysis, etc.) to ensure customers receive thorough, accurate and timely replies for improving ineffective processes.
  • Work with global accounting and finance personal to assist regions
  • Supports and provides leadership by mentoring and training each function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or strong accounting background of at least 7 years is required 
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 5 years of Leadership experience preferably in a shared services or multinatonal environment.
  • High understanding of the RTR, PTP and OTC cycle
  • Must have at least 4 years’ general ledger experience in a corporate accounting function
  • Experience in transition which includes data gathering, knowledge transfer planning and FTE utilization
  • Has experience in using SAP or Oracle
  • Above average communication skills
  • Highly effective in stakeholder management
  • Strong background in designing and operating control procedures
  • Blackline & Coupa experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience in a lead role related to special projects preferred
