Job Description and Qualification:


  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organization and time management skills and highly trainable with ability to multi-task.
  • Proven ability to work within a team of technical and business professionals and work independently
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and to provide clear direction to people during times of crisis
  • Open to 24/7 rotating shift
  • Knowledgeable in SQL and Unix
  • Knowledgeable in Control-M and CA WLA Scheduler
  • Good technical knowledge and experience with Mainframe z/OS (JCL, INFOPAC, Endevor, SDSF, CICS)
  • Preferred at least year work experience in mid-range 


  • Successful candidates will have responsibilities related to one or more of the following:
  • Monitor mainframe and distributed batch cycles for any failure or error using required tools
  • Understand problem identification
  • Perform preliminary investigation and provide solutions as needed
  • Understand problem severity and recovery
  • Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain system performance and online availability
  • Maintain all system and application documentation by making sure everything is up-to-date.
  • Process ad hoc requests as per requirements
  • Perform manual tasks, health check and system reboot
  • Restart procedures or perform job reruns
  • Understand the environment (LPARS) where the jobs are running, what applications run where, how to log on to various systems, interactions between LPARS
  • Adjust schedule as needed and document all schedule changes
  • Identifies schedule impacts due to changes and proactively escalates to team
  • Gets involved in event scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required by the team or clients.
  • Perform request, change and incident management
  • Generate reports as per requirements
  • Communicate, respond, and follow up on all issues raised by the client; Problems/issues that are reported by the client must be dealt with and responded too promptly
