Job Description

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Data creation, gathering & analysis; familiarization/manipulation of various data sets and tools within Manulife (i.e. Planview, Workday, Jira, PowerBI, MS Excel); providing key insights and recommendations to TBO and CDT leadership.  

  • Be a key driver of the TBO data strategy: Identifying and interfacing with key data sources & data owners, ensuring accuracy & integrity of the data presented in our offerings, and establishing processes to communicate issues and strategy to the team as well as CDT leadership. 

  • Build PowerBI reports & dashboards with a continued emphasis in data analysis/manipulation and quality control 

  • Continuous improvement and continuous development of reports and dashboards within TBO/CDT, including building relationships and partnering with other CDT teams to focus on efficiency as well as automation possibilities. 

  • Providing administrative and project support as needed.

  • Monthly status reporting for CDT projects, which includes project health and financial forecast. 

  • Invoice tracking/reconciliation/processing.  

  • Monitor and address compliance to time tracking of CDT members in Planview. 

  • Will act as Resource Manager and/or Project Manager in Planview for various CDT teams including, but not limited to the following tasks:  

  • Resources approval, forecasting tools, and update/maintenance, cost analysis, ODF artifacts documentation preparation, creating Jira stories/tasks, shadow code setups from Global instance, financial analysis/reconciliation/adjustments, ACL review - owner/usage, project/work creation, work portfolio reporting 

  • Track individual and teamwork in Jira. 


May also include: 

  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings. 

  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution. 

  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all initiative team members. 

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. 

  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings. 

  • Ensuring initiative deadlines are met. 

    Skill Requirements: 


    The candidate: 

    • Experience dealing with large data sets 

    • Must have advanced PowerBI skills

    • Has knowledge in Data Analytics and Project Management - SQL and ITIL

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or equivalent. 

    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. 

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

    • Works well independently as well as in a team environment as the situation dictates. 

    • Temporary Work From Home set-up (8 PM - 5 AM)
