Job Description and Qualification:

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Head of Customer Intelligence and Analytics (CI), the Business Intelligence (BI) Lead is a champion for Customer Intelligence and Analytics in the Retail Business Line. He/She shall establish appropriate communication mediums to facilitate a data-driven mindset within the organization and partner with business areas to identify opportunities for business growth. The BI Lead provides key stakeholders data and knowledge of retail products, distribution and direct marketing actions, supporting understanding of effectiveness of sales activities and generating recommendations for future sales activities used in the process of shaping the retail banking products development strategy and their communication by the Retail Business Areas. He/She is expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer base, derive commercial insights, and support fact-based commercial decisions and support life cycle activities with actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic alignment:

·         Develops and executes on Business Intelligence strategy to effectively accomplish overall goals of Retail Unit

·         Consult with internal business partners to understand key business questions and implement Business Intelligence programs to address them

·         Monitor and advise top management on performance against KPIs, emerging trends, opportunities and risks

Direct marketing actions support:

·         Ensures customer analyses in the context of direct marketing activities and business recommendations for selection of target groups for campaigns, channels for reaching customers as well as sale and customer activation, stimulation and retention for Business Areas

·         Cooperates with the Customer Strategy on development of methodology and execution of multi-layer customer segmentations considering customer life cycle, seniority, product preferences, customer value and other factors

·         Lead the creation of in-depth measurement strategies and delivery of identified insights for tuning measured direct marketing activities

·         Provide thought leadership to internal stakeholders and team to evolve the development and reporting of KPIs to measure direct marketing effectiveness

Business Intelligence:

·         Own the development and maintenance of the business reporting environments and tools, with focus on self- service business intelligence

·         Ensures analytical data based on database analysis, supporting or initiating decisions on the pricing policy, product profitability, direct marketing strategy, management of distribution channels, the sales process and any other development activities for retail products

·         Work with internal stakeholders to identify the standard and ad-hoc reporting needs and develop and understanding of the areas in which rapid responses are needed and for which customized reporting solutions must be developed/adapted

·         Lead team to deliver best of breed reporting solutions and data visualization capabilities based on internal stakeholders requirements

·         Ensure timely reports, analysis and data availability to business lines and life cycle management resulting in optimal execution and attainment of objectives

Request handling/consulting:

·         Promote positive and strong relationship with business areas to foster performance culture and best in class execution related to business intelligence & customer analysis

·         Manage activities to consult all business areas to:

-          Better define business intelligence & customer analysis requests

-          Fully understand a business question/topic and come up with decision supporting conclusions

Experience, Knowledge and Required Competences

Professional knowledge:

·         University degree – preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, or other when supplemented with relevant experience;

·         Minimum 7 years of professional experience in a similar domain (Customer Intelligence, Business Intelligence, CRM);

·         Previous proven experience with business intelligence and analytics tools preferably: SAS ,PowerBI, Cognos, SQL, Tableau;

·         Previous management experience is preferable;

·         English language: spoken & written.
