In February 2013, as part of its Global Operational Transformation program, a Shared Services Centre was established in Manila as a separate division of the organization to provide a range of captive insurance, financial and people services to its operations in the Australia-New Zealand, North American and European divisions.

Encouraged by the success of its Manila operations, our client embarked on expanding its shared service operations by establishing a second site, this time in the city of Cebu. Cebu was the obvious choice due to the availability of an excellent talent pool and robust infrastructure among other considerations. Since its soft opening last April 2014, the new facility has already grown to over 300 employees and continues to expand bringing a combined workforce to more than 2000 by the end of the year.

Job Description and Qualification:


Role Description

  • Receives, records and processes all incoming claims for non life Insurance business.
  • Interprets basic policy coverage and determines if coverage applies to claims submitted.
  • Sets reserves and authorizes payment within scope of authority, settles claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensures timely issuance of disbursements.
  • Identifies suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims.
  • Identifies and resolves any issues and/or anomalies that are non-compliant with regard to policy and procedures.

Role Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in BPO customer service, insurance, banking/financial services
  • Strong customer service skills and client relationship management
  • Excellent spoken & written English
  • Analytical and decision making skills
  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • Ability to quickly  master the use of multiple IT applications
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and demonstrate high degree of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Amenable to work on shifting schedule, weekends and PH holidays
  • Amenable to work at Cebu Business Park, Cebu City
