Job Summary

The Global Compliance Office (GCO) is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance effectiveness throughout the company by developing compliance programs, standards and practices, and facilitating the implementation and accountability of these programs, standards and practices within our Divisions globally. 

One of our nine strategic priorities under our “Compliance 2020 and beyond” plan is the creation of a global Training team to combine all Compliance Training functions globally, including professional development for Compliance and Compliance training. Key drivers are scalability (with significant resulting cost savings), better user experience and higher quality of training.

Compliance Learning Services (CLS) currently consists of five members, of which four are based in MBPS and one in Toronto. Its role is to provide first-in-class training advice, design and services and create scalable and cost-effective training with superior user experience, consistent branding and better tracking. It is a regulatory expectation to have compliance training and evaluation as well as continuing education in place. In addition, past audit findings have asked for improving the follow-up and tracking of training completion rates as well as the design of training that allows for knowledge testing.

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Conduct compliance training monitoring
  • Follow up by compiling statistics and improving existing training tracking tools and training follow up mechanism.
  • Serving as a one stop service for advising and supporting CLS stakeholders on the use of the compliance training platform including:
    • Compass functions;
    • Coordinating Compass usage training;
    • Responding to employees’ inquiries on Compass;
  • Performing LMS troubleshooting
  • Keeping abreast of new compliance training resources and developments in the industry and provide recommendations to the CLS team
  • Researching and promoting the use of digital training platforms for CLS stakeholders

                                                                                                                                                                                

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of any Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be proficient or has an advanced knowledge and skills in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge and skill in Power BI is a plus.
  • Proven interpersonal skills: collaboration and communications skills (oral, written, presentation), ability to build relationships, engage and influence others.  Must be comfortable dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years of relevant training or compliance experience
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English 
  • Ability to work in a multi-national environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects within a matrix environment
  • High attention to detail
