Job Description and Qualification:


  • Manage a team of Compensation Analysts and oversees the analytical support to multiple hospitals, outpatient facilities and/or physician practices in the design, implementation and monitoring of Tenet compensation employees for both union and non-union employee groups.
  • Create a strategy for the Compensation Team in partnership with the HR Vice President and US Leadership.
  • Create and implement strategies for the compensation analysis activities. Supervise and enhance the strategies, plans, and policies supporting the compensation analysis function.
  • Maintain Facility specific compensation tables in HR System: Job Code, Job Titles, Salary Structure, Union Step Rates, Shift Differentials and Per Diem Rates.
  • Provide timely responses to clients at each assigned facility in regards to compensation requests.
  • Participate timely in external market salary surveys.
  • Publish yearly market salary surveys in Pay Factors and/or HR System.
  • Perform internal/external market analysis yearly and on an adhoc basis.
  • Utilize internal resources and tools to perform analysis and make recommendation on base pay programs.
  • Perform special projects that support company’s initiatives which impact compensation and operations such as premium pay or cost modeling.


  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College degree
  • At least 1 year experience as a Compensation Team Lead, At least 3 years working in a hospital environment/setting, 3 years’ experience in the following areas: job analysis, competitive assessment of base pay programs, pay program design, implementation and administration for a large multi-unit, multi-state organization, preferably in Healthcare or shared service organization.
  • Experience in using HR systems (HRMSWeb), Salary Planning Systems (Pay Factors) preferably.
  • 1-2 years Analytical experience, Microsoft Excel required. Advanced knowledge in spreadsheet and database skills utilizing Microsoft Access or Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of FLSA and other state mandated compensation laws
  • Ability to support and manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in compensation, ensuring pay programs are achieved in a timely manner and meet business needs.
  • Union knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Relationship management experience with customer focus
