Job Description and Qualification:

This role is responsible for the system compliance of all financial reports from the foreign subsidiaries for Management and SEC Reporting purposes.



Management Reporting and Controls

  • Generate the Financial Statements, review the accuracy and reasonableness of submitted IO Financial Statements, consolidate the IO Financial Reports by brand, by country for Management Reporting purposes.
  • Review the account analyses and reconciliations on a regular basis to identify problem areas that affect the company’s profitability, asset security and compliance with local government’s regulation.
  • Discuss and ensure application of immediate corrective actions to arrest deviations from standards and controls.
  • Develop measures to ensure compliance to company’s policies, process and procedures.
  • Develop and recommend reporting process improvements.
  • Ensure standardization of reports and common application of the Global Chart of Accounts by the foreign subsidiaries.
Statutory Reporting Compliance
  • Consolidate the IO Financial Reports in compliance with the government reportorial requirements following applicable International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare the necessary schedules, analyses and reconciliations to support the financial numbers periodically reported to the Phil SEC.
  • Prepare and provide the necessary disclosures as required by the Phil SEC.
  • Review and monitor compliance to the local tax and other statutory requirements by the foreign subsidiaries.
  • Address compliance issues with accuracy and urgency.
  • Research on new rulings, provisions and standards that would have an impact to the company’s compliance practice.
  • Develop templates and reports that would provide ease in financial reporting.
  • Conduct orientation or training for the IO Accounting team to update them on the latest developments on financial reporting, IFRS/IAS and compliance requirements.
Inter-company Accounts Reconciliation
  • Oversee the reconciliation of inter-company payables and receivables between and among subsidiaries and parent company.
  • Improve the inter-company process to ensure on-time recognition of charges.
  • Note deviations and provide immediate corrective actions.
  • Escalate issues that need higher management’s disposition.
  • Recommend policy changes related to inter-company transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and a CPA or its equivalent in the country
  • With excellent interaction skills
  • Knowledge of ERP solution (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in country GAAP, IFRS, IAS and taxation rules
  • Knowledgeable on Accounting controls and procedures
  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing correspondences in English.
  • With proficiency in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Flow-Charting.
