Position Summary
  • The successful candidate will work for Security Operations’ Information Protection Group in a critical role designed to help protect and defend against the loss of the company's most critical data.
  • The main duties of the person in this role will include proper care and administration of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) environments and monitoring and responding to the alerts that generate from the tool. This person will interface with Service Managers, IT Operations, Network Operations, Infrastructure teams, Legal, Risk Management, etc. to define the overall strategy for protecting company’s information by creating policies, procedures and manuals.

  • The role requires someone who understands DLP information protection technology from both a managerial/ strategic level and hands on technical design and implementation.
  • The candidate will be required to oversee / manage and will act as deputy for different teams in the Security Operations.
  • The candidate will be required to provide oversight and SME input to the design, build and implementation of technology tools that support the Information Protection strategy, objectives and operational requirements.
  • Drive business collaboration and adoption of the tools, ensuring the business is trained and BAU processes are in place to enable efficient operation.
  • Monitor the use of the tools and ensure a consistent process of improvement is in place.
  • Own and manage tool configuration, ensuring appropriate governance and change control arrangements are operating across the business.
  • Knowledge and experience of establishing and running monthly information protection technology boards, acting as chairperson.
  • Obtain and maintain buy-in from the business and ensure they understand the Information Protection Tool purpose, are engaged and active in the adoption and embedding of the tools.
  • Input to the setting of the Information Protection Strategy, ensuring the Information Protection Tooling approach supports delivery.
  • Reviewing BAU processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Leading Information Protection team to ensure risk is managed.

  • 8 - 10 years’ work experience on a Security Technical Services and/or Support Operations team preferred.
  • Candidate will exhibit a history of reliability and strong decision-making skills due the trust imparted in them as a DLP and encryption SME/ analyst.
  • DLP and encryption related monitoring experience desired.
  • Candidate must possess strong analytical skills to identify complex security issues and respond at the same level with a technical understanding of when to escalate impacting security events.
  • Must possess requisite oral communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment.
