Job Description and Qualification:

The Data Protection Executive Officer is a key role for Data Management. Reporting to the Data Management Tribe, the team member is responsible for alignment with the global framework in his/her domain and for its implementation order to fulfil required data management capabilities and to ensure compliance to local and global standards and regulations. 

  • Oversees whether the Global Data Management Data Governance Manual is implemented for data content, standards and control
  • Provides local guidelines, standards policies and procedures for implementation of the data management framework in his/her domain
  • Defines rules and procedures for assigning the key roles for data management within the business structure and translates these into specific job assignments in the organization
  • Implements rules, polices and standards for data exchange between relevant parties
  • Acts as subject matter expert on data protection areas including data retention.
  • Assist Data Owners and data users with their responsibilities for complying with all relevant data protection laws, regulations and internal  policies.
  • Driving implementation of the GDPP and relevant legislation (e.g. through governance, data inventory, data policies & processes, quality, architecture, etc.)
  • Monitors adherence to Data Protection Policies. Undertake regular reviews to ensure that data is protected, controls are in place and working and review privacy notices to ensure they remain up to date;
  • Advise and provide updates on matters concerning data protection, and support senior managers and members of staff in their efforts to satisfy their responsibilities under the policy;
  • Complete/maintain information asset register, privacy impact assessments and data classification reporting
  • Provide training for staff on a regular basis as part of an ongoing awareness program, promoting awareness of, and compliance with, the policies and regulations
  • Manage data breach notification and the resolution and remedial action of all data protection incidents and report these where appropriate to the (local) NFRC and Bank Data Protection Officer
  • Bachelors degree graduate
  • At least 3-5 years as  Data Protection Officer 
  • Exposure working in a bank is a plus but not required
  • Excelent communication skills
  • Currently work from home set-up
