Job Description and Qualification:

Purpose of the Job: 

Provide pricing and profitability support and guidance to sales and upper management. Significant reporting responsibilities to drive utilization of new financials systems to share financial information more broadly.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions): This self-motivated individual will provide support for, but not limited to, the following areas:

·         Create and provide customer specific pricing using income statement format to sales management (support this process for retail, professional and paint/hardware accounts)

Provide support for new and ongoing products; specifically list pricing, customer specific pricing and analysis.

·         Review monthly reporting results vs prior expectations with commentary of major business drivers (variance analysis vs PY, Plan, Forecast)

·         Support monthly financial close process including data reconciliation and analysis of financial reporting application.

·         Support development, maintenance and distribution of monthly reporting packages to business leadership.

·         Support quarterly forecast processes through maintaining & distributing planning forms.

·         Support design, build, testing and roll-out of enhancements to financial reporting application

·         Creation of pro forma financial statements, including but not limited to, modeling future state and alternative price scenarios.

·         Provide support to sales management for promotional opportunities.

·         Develop pricing for multiple distributors in “bidding" scenarios.

·         Interpret, evaluate, coordinate, and communicate pricing related information for the purpose of customer level profitability decision making.

·         Update and maintain pricing templates.

·         Contract administration into JD Edwards.

·         Coordinate with customer care to resolve issues where orders are submitted at prices that don’t match our contracts

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Experience & Education:

Required:  

·         A bachelor’s degree in business or finance.

·         2-5 years of corporate finance or corporate accounting experience

·         Experience with product pricing and financial statement analysis preferred 

·         Strong written and oral communication skills and knowledge of multiple software and business data systems Desired:

·         Career background in accounting or corporate finance
