Job Description and Qualification:

As the ​General Manager ​you will be a high performance leader and manage the entire Philippine business, team and operations. You will work in close collaboration with functional and regional leads to grow the company as a Digital Media business in the Philippines in line with the company's vision and growth targets.

Your work will contribute to changing the way Filipinos experience personal finance, and you will do so by applying your extensive experience in driving growth in digital media and content operations. You possess exceptional collaboration and communication skills, experience in leading, coaching and motivating teams of passionate, creative and driven individuals to deliver outstanding results.

Managing the staff through the exciting changes and challenges that come with rapid expansion, and providing stable leadership, encouragement, and expertise as the team navigates the evolving imperatives of digital media. This person will have a strong understanding of creating socially strong content and a keen understanding of digital media strategies.

Above all, we’re looking for a business leader who believes deeply in the value and importance of shareable and consumable content, who is interested in elevating the quality and creativity of our content and media.

As the founding member of the business in the Philippines, your major responsibilities will be: 

● Hiring and establishing the Philippines business

●  Articulate the company's vision in the Philippines into strategies and actionable plans

●  Own and manage the local regulatory relationships

●  Manage content localization, roll-out, go-to-market execution, and PR/marketing efforts in the Philippines

●  Build and establish relevant and value-creating strategic partnerships in Philippines

●  Oversee key KPIs and hold teams accountable, while nurturing any gaps

●  Connect with support functions (People & Culture, Product, Tech, Ops) to build and secure resources for projects and initiatives

●  Lead the team to enable growth and smooth operations in the Philippines

●  Leverage the knowledge and creativity of team members

●  Take full operational and P&L responsibility for business

●  Ability to grow traffic organically and paid

●  Accomplish human resource objectives with effective people leadership which includes planning

●  Develop and recommend long-term and short-term strategies and plan, budget and forecast for traffic and revenue

●  Formulate and implement marketing strategies that target revenue growth

●  Be proactive and resourceful in the analysis of market trends, changing needs and expectation of customers in terms of content discovery

●  Nurture an environment where employees have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, and to value add to the organisation

●  Create and develop a team culture that supports the company’s vision and values



●  4 years’ general management experience in digital media

●  Passionate about technology and disruptive models

●  Passionate about content

●  Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

●  Display high-level strategic thinking and analytical acumen, as well as hands-on ownership

●  Familiar with regulatory and competitive environment in the Philippines market

●  Adept at engaging and influencing senior leaders

●  Demonstrate strong leadership of highly effective teams

●  Comfortable with financial and process management
