Job Description and Qualification:

Job Purpose

To spearhead the Trade Finance (TF), Supply Chain Financing (SCF) and Factoring businesses under Transaction Banking in meeting the business goals and targets set and drive the bank to be the premier TF, SCF and Factoring provider for Corporate, Commercial Banking and SME segments in the country.


·         Oversee and drive the TF, SCF & Factoring business portfolios of the bank encompassing Corporate, Commercial Banking and SME.

    • Cascade the goals / directions of TF,SCF & Factoring to be in line with management’s direction
    • Manage and monitor business performance of TF, SCM & Factoring businesses on a monthly basis
    • Regular meetings with Heads of Corporate/ Commercial/  SME teams to address business performance and initiatives
  • Achieve Sales Target
    • Conduct sales activity (i.e. site visit, attend inquiry, marketing call, interview client, etc)
    • Prepare credit report on TF, SCF & Factoring applications with the necessary checking
    • Liaison for various business units on TF, SCF & Factoring referrals
    • Conduct TF, SCF & Factoring briefings to promote the bank’s capabilities to internal & external customers
    • Monitor existing client contributions

o    Achieve the targeted business and loan growth as well as profitability

    • Constantly seek strategies to be ahead from competitors
  • Roll-out new products; spearhead all sales, marketing and promotional initiatives of TF, SCF & Factoring in accordance to the Bank Group’s standards.
    • Review of current market condition to identify focus sector and current business needs.
    • Assist in developing new products; improve existing products or repackage offerings to meet the current market demand.
    • Drive the proposed sales, marketing and promotional campaign / initiatives, in line with the business goals
  • Build and develop strategic and business links between TF, SCF & Factoring and other business units within the Bank as well as with external parties / bodies to leverage cross selling opportunities, business reciprocity and increase revenue.
    • Ensure integration of functional roles with other Business Units e.g. CMS, RBG and Consumer Finance
    • Work with MATRADE, Business Associations, EXIM Bank etc to acquire new  business opportunities
    • Obtain Feedback from Sales Team and RMs of other business units for improvements
    • Alignment with Head Office and other Overseas Units to ensure the cross border opportunities retain in the Group.
  • Responsible for Human Capital development in the fields of TF, SCF & Factoring.
    • Building a bench strength and retain best talent by way of reward and promotion
    • Ensure continuous growth in terms of TF, SCF & Factoring knowledge and skills via training and external exposure
  • Achieve Interest and Fee Revenue from New Accounts
    • Expedite the approval process
    • Process more loan with volume business
    • Process loan with higher income opportunity
