Job Description and Qualification:

Job Purpose: 

Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure that all AP Operations services are provided on a timely basis, comply with Company accounting procedures, and applicable group and local accounting standards.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead and oversee the delivery of Accounts Payable (AP) services
Ensure payments are completed accurately and timely manner
Solve discrepancy between purchase order and invoice
Monitor backlog invoices and manage the overdues. 
Review report and vendor reconciliation and act on overdue open items
Drive team urgency in preparation of critical periods, such as month-end closing
Ensure Accounts Payable operations are in compliance with Group Policies and local taxes (GST & WHT)
Lead in the planning & implementation of AP-related systems to maximize process efficiency
Take lead in workstream continuous improvement activities to drive optimal operational performance
Review all processes and procedures within AP workstream and make recommendations as to potential improvements
Document and standardize policies and procedures related to Accounts Payable, ensuring that adequate controls are in place to ensure audit compliance
Overall manage the AP function in an efficient manner, including setting employee goals and handling performance reviews
Keep abreast with technological advancements in AP finance & expense systems arena and review/evaluate their suitability for the business
Resolve operational issues after taking into consideration of business and systems constraints vs accounting requirements

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Required language(s): English
At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Managers specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
Experience in Audit, Accounting and Finance with 3 years in Managerial position
Strong working knowledge of PSE & IFRS reporting requirements
High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Words and Ms Power Point
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in shared services management or Telco industry is an advantage but not mandatory
Transition experience and/or ERP implementation experience;
Experience of working in a / within a multicultural, international environment;
