Job Description and Qualification:

Job purpose:

§  Lead, manage and oversee the Cards Business, both Issuing and Acquiring, covering Visa and MasterCard and other new Card associations

§  Provide overall direction on the business strategy and technical approach for effective implementation of the Cards business plan in order to achieve projected financial results and grow its client base profitably

Key Areas of responsibilities:

  • Formulates and implements business plan and strategies in order to achieve business growth through Cardholder and Merchant account acquisition and increase in receivables and revenue
  • Monitors the total operations of Cards which comprises of Customer service and retention, Sales and Marketing, Cards and Merchant application processing, Account settlement and collections, Risk management, Cards technology requirement, Management information system and back-office operations
  • Ensures effective implementation of credit and portfolio management to achieve asset quality and maintain Non Performing Loan at acceptable level or below the industry ratio
  • Monitors and manages end-to-end Cards systems and processes to ensure that all operational procedures are complied with and in accordance with Card Associations rules and all regulatory authorities as well as internal audit requirements accomplished through consultations with BPM, ORM, Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit
  • Develops a skilled and effective work force geared and committed to the goals of the Cards business and the Bank
  • Achieves optimum balance in satisfying the interests or requirements of the Bank and the clients: Cardholders and Merchants
  • Participates and contributes in the achievement of the Regional Cards initiatives of the Parent Bank

Knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies required

  • Graduate of any Business Course
  • At least 10 years of working experience in the Cards business, 5 years as Head of Cards
