Job Description

  • Reports to the General Manager
  • To assist with arranging and monitoring import shipments. Manage efficiently all importation transactions, ensuring in compliance to the customs rules and regulations and verifies accordingly all required payments
  • Responsible for processing all imported merchandise, ensuring complete and accurate shipments documentation and in compliance to the customs rules and regulations
  • Ensures all customs duties, taxes and other pre-requisite charges are accurate and economical before payment and avoiding penalties
  • Plan and implement strategic shipment ensuring ease passage of shipments to meet its delivery timeline
  • Coordinates and liaises with overseas partners, freight forwarders and agents
  • Maintain updated knowledge on all rules and regulation of import processes to ensure efficient shipments procedure
  • Evaluate various documents, commercial invoices and ensure compliance to all customs regulations assuring its legality and legitimacy
  • Handles proper coordination and importation issues accordingly to avoid delays of shipment
  • Facilitates application and renewal of all company certifications, memberships and accreditation required by the government for all importation transactions
  • Maintains and records all imported shipments
  • Develop and ensure implementation of all import policies and recommend changes for improvements to all service providers if required
  • Responsible for managed warehouse & third party warehousing coordination
  • Coordinates the receiving of goods with warehouse to ensure ordered goods are accounted for
  • Provides support to Sales team to meet delivery timeline of customers
  • Provides updates on the delivery of goods
  • Provides required reports and status of all shipments
  • Provides accurate billings/invoices on all shipments

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Customs Administration or equivalent
  • With at least 5 years experienced in Customs processes, logistics and warehouse administration
  • Solid Customs documentation and procedures, warehouse, office and transport procedures, shipping and flight schedules, freight tariffs and rates, ability to raise and complete documentation
  • Knowledgeable on process and procedure of BOC and other government agencies in relation to importation 
  • Excellent analytical, administrative and problem-solving skills
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Proactive and team player
  • With good interpersonal skill
  • Proficient in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Salary:

35,000.00
