Job Description and Qualification:

ROLE PROFILE
The Partnerships Manager is a mid- senior level position which works closely with the company’s  management, team, and existing and potential partners in identifying opportunities and developing programs that the company can undertake to strengthen the Philippine startup ecosystem through engagements that reinforce company’s collaboration mandate, and increase company’s profile and relevance both locally and internationally. Key responsibilities of the Partnerships Manager include: 1) Relationship Management & Development, 2) Corporate-Startup Collaborations, 3) Fundraising and Sustainability Initiatives, 4) other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management & Development
  • Maintain existing relationships with partners and achieve partner satisfaction by ensuring effective execution of programs and initiatives based on set objectives
  • Identify, liaise and establish contact with potential partners, negotiate and agree terms of agreement, and deepen engagement with partners
  • Participate in events and activities with local and international accelerators, government, corporates, universities, foundations, and other organizations that promote the company mission and the greater Philippine startup ecosystem
Corporate-Startup Collaborations
  • Create awareness for the Philippine Startup Ecosystem, promote innovation and technopreneurship, and develop and organize learning sessions (such as workshops, speaking engagements/panels, etc.) for corporates and their employees and/or management team
  • Identify areas for collaboration among corporates and startups, and lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of corporate-startup collaborative programs such as startup pitch events, hackathons, competitions, etc.
  • Effectively analyze, communicate and present project results and outputs to management, team, and stakeholders in various formats (papers, presentations, etc.)
Fundraising and Sustainability Initiatives
  • Create, maintain, assess and recommend strategic initiatives for company’s sustainable business model
  • Research on potential partners, grants and inbound investment opportunities, prepare supporting applications and reporting materials, including applications, budgets, pitch decks, etc.
  • Develop and execute on initiatives pertaining to new areas of grow, especially on fundraising programs that generate investments, grants and other financial and resource support for company to improve its long-term viability
  • Recommend and evaluate the effectiveness of new growth efforts

Preferred Competencies and Required Skills
  • Completed BS in business administration, STEM/quantitative field, or equivalent experience;
  • Advanced degree, MBA, international education would be advantages.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both English and Filipino to a variety of audiences by expressing facts, ideas, or directions in an accurate, clear, and organized manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Able to cultivate good working relationships with colleagues and partners; interface, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Related experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, consulting, corporate development or venture capital would be advantages.
  • Background, existing networks, or exposure to startups/ startup community, tech, investing or entrepreneurship oriented non-profit organizations would be advantages.
  • Project management experience including multiple facets of project development from ideation, proposal development, planning, implementation and post-program evaluation, with demonstrated skills in prioritization, organization, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Exhibits attention to detail in executing projects. Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges. High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion and good judgment
  • Team oriented and willing to work with millennials
  • High level of numeracy or comfortable with numbers
