Job Description and Qualification:

Job Summary: 

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, supervises/monitors in the proper execution of production plans and programs. Coordinating the required manpower and raw materials in meeting production targets with the desired quality output. 

  

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·         In coordination with HR Officer, ensures availability of the required manpower in each section: peeling area, slicing, frying and packing. 

·         Works with production team in attaining maximum production efficiency and product quality including product packing to satisfy customer’s expectation.  

·         Ensures the cost-effective management resources at all time (zero waste). 

·         Submits regular daily and monthly reports to superior on production output, raw materials consumption, and other pertinent information to aid the management decision making. 

·         Exercises administrative control and supervision over production under his/her responsibility including enforcement of company policies with respect to employee performance, training, job movements, discipline, motivating employees for peak performance and other personnel matters. 

·         Maintains an orderly filing system of all pertinent documents of the department for easy retrieval when needed. 

·         Keeps abreast of the company’s business goals and directions by attending meetings as set by the management. 

·         Participates in company-initiated programs, seminars and trainings. 

·         Ensures that proper orientation on production policies, duties, responsibilities and safety policies are given to all the production workers.  

·         Ensures the quality, safety of the goods produced and timely shipment of orders to respective buyers.  

·         As products are bagged and boxed; ensures that conducting batch quality testing of all products is consistently done. Traceability of all products must be implemented from production date to delivery date. 

·         Ensures that proper warehousing and storage of banana chips (whether, work- in- process or finished goods) are implemented with very minimal broken chips or damaged/spoiled. 

·         Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance. 

·         Daily reviews production output according to specifications, reports immediately to production manager all concerns that requires immediate action/resolution. 

·         Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures 

·         Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. 

·         Daily confers with Production Manager regarding production schedule and other matters necessary in the optimal production operations. 

·         Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and HACCP policies  

·         Works with the production team and QC team in attaining maximum production efficiency and product quality to satisfy customer’s expectation. 

·         Coordinates with the Marketing Head in proper warehousing and storage of finished goods to ensure a steady supply of finished goods to meet customers’ demands. 

·         Ensures the availability of the required manpower in each section of the production area and peeling area. 

·         Daily monitors and guides the forepersons ensuring that processes are carried out in accordance to procedures ensuring recovery and quality targets are achieved. 

·         Immediately acts/resolves operational problems as reported by the forepersons. 

·         Ensures the cost-effective management of all company resources at all times, thus wastages are prevented. 

·         Daily checks production reports for submission to the Management. (In case of variance, justification must be stated in the report) 

·         Ensures that production documents in every operation are closed, reconciled, evaluated and signed by authorized personnel before they are sent to QC/QA for release. 

·         Reviews and signs relevant production forms (Requisition Slips, Material Receiving Reports, Manpower Requisition Forms and other forms). 

·         Performs other functions as required by the management from time to time. 

  

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

·         Graduate of Food Technology or Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or any technical related courses 

·         Requires at least 2 years of experience in related industries 

·         Must be good in both oral and written communication 

·         Must be familiar with manufacturing processes and equipment 

·         Very good in problem solving (both in technical and mathematical skills) 

·         Physically fit 

·         A team player 

·         Proficient in operating a computer and other office equipment
