The client is a Japanese trading company with operations spanning on non-ferrous metals, metals and alloys, food, petroleum and chemicals, machinery, lumber and many other business sectors.

They operate on six main divisions:

  1. Steelhandles everything from steel plates, sheets and bars to construction materials.
  2. Metal Recycling and Primary Metal: at the forefront of effective resource recycling, they are one of the first companies to recycle aluminum, copper, nickel and chromium in Japan
  3. Food Products: handling prawns, crab and other seafood, and enjoying the top market shares in several product categories, bringing fine food products from around the world to tables throughout Japan.
  4. Petroleum and Chemicals: chemical products and paper materials
  5. Lumber & Plywood: quality forest products and plywood from around the world and expands offshore trading operations
  6. Machinery: has two components - (1) Amusement facilities and (2) industrial machinery

Job Description and Qualification:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Markets and sells imported steel (steel plates, sheets and bars to construction materials)
  • Business development and account management
  • Conducts surveys and research on the market for business development
  • Partners with a Japanese native employee in client visits 
  • Monitors the import delivery process 
  • With experience under a steel trading or construction company (sales experience is a PLUS)
  • Proficiency in speaking Japanese or Mandarin is a PLUS
  • Preferably with a driving license
  • Willing to work in a start up company

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM
