Job Description and Qualification:

We are looking for someone with: 

  • 5 years IT operation with strong understanding of
    • Maintaining Windows Server 2008 to 2016
    • UNIX/Linux and Other Operating Systems.
  • Experience in managing or maintaining the cloud environment, Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in Software Application Installation, upgrade, patching and configuration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate; ability to lead and influence technical peers and decision makers.
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments and to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and candidate must be proactive.
  • Experience on the following technologies: FTP/SFTP, Microsoft Outlook, Skype/Teams, Plainview, Service Now.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and ETL.
  • Familiarity in scripting languages for eg Microsoft Powershell.
  • Experience in Agile is desirable.
  • ITLv3 Foundation Certification process is a plus

  • Monitors usage, load, and LSA to proactively design solutions
  • Advises on complex technical issues involving configuring, provisioning, and maintaining platform

  • Use and combine knowledge of the discipline and the market to formulate the right approach
  • Able to achieve most at asks using own judgement
  • Can lead smaller groups where required
  • Good analytical skills, copes with complex situations through deliberate analysis and planning
  • Strong knowledge of the business
  • Resolves technical issues and record transactions via ticketing system
  • Promotes and escalate persistent issues to engineers and architects
  • Enables use of platform components through configuration, scripting, and provisioning, designs materials and processes to educated users
  • Creates and maintains script libraries to triage most common issues
  • Monitors and reports persistent issues to enable Technical Product Owner to manage vendor relationships
  • Proactively makes suggestions for improvement based on understanding of availability SLA
  • Focuses on configuring platform to enable software development
  • Demonstrates business acumen, ability to relate activities to Manulife business model
  • Strong knowledge of object and data models; understanding of fields and attributes
  • Strong ability to configure and resolve issues
