Job Description and Qualification:

The Senior Metrics & Insights Analyst (M-level) is responsible for leading operational reporting, analysis and insights, proactively scrutinising data sets and improving the insights / influence they bring to business decision making. As a regional role, the individual will build relationships and collaborate with a broad range of operational / business leaders across Asia Pacific as well as internal / external stakeholders to create convenient insights to drive action. The role focuses on supporting (consumer / commercial) operations, through:

• Reporting, Analysis and Insights – perform analysis and deliver actionable insight and subsequent storytelling.
• Business Analysis – conduct research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems.
• Drive Best Practice – coach, train and support others to raise the bar in data / analytical areas.


Reporting, Analysis and Insights (~60%)
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of regular reporting and insights relating to financials, customer, process, risk and people.
  • Summarise findings and provide relevant, actionable insights for executive audiences through presentations / storytelling.
  • Identify and report on trends and opportunities for improvement through statistical analysis of complex data sets.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues / gaps and provide recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders across the company to identify data sources and obtain data required for creating insights plus raise data issues and follow through to ensure they are resolved.
  • Where necessary recommend process / system changes to capture required data and work with regional and country teams to implement these changes.
 Business Analysis (~30%)
  • Lead the gathering and documentation of requirements to deliver convenient insights via BI tools and mobile devices.
  • Lead the organisation and facilitation of meetings and workshops to get information needed to deliver dashboards and insights.
  • Interpret and provide translation between the business requests provided using business terminology, technical specification and delivery using technical terminology.
  • Lead all UAT activities from initial test case development, defect documentation and tracking through to signoff from business stakeholders.

 Drive Best Practice (~10%)
  • Provide ongoing training and support on BI tools. (e.g. Qlik Sense) and using dashboard.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of a Metrics & Insights community promoting the sharing of knowledge, ideas and best practices across Chubb.
  • Continuously review and keep all documentation up to date.
  • Plus, other duties, projects or functions assigned by the Metrics & Insights Manager, APAC Operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Business or Computer Science/IT or other related course
  • 6+ years related work experience in financial services, preferably insurance. Other industries are welcome to apply.
  • Very strong analytical skills, data manipulation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to simplify complexities and communicate issues / opportunities to multiple levels of management.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) Tools. (QlikView, Qlik Sense, Aginity, SQL server, etc.)
