Sr PMO Analyst – Japan

Required skills and competencies:

  • Japanese Speaking/Writing is a must - Bilingual Support for the PMO run and maintenance and support for PM’s/SM’s for execution activities in large scale programs
  • 5 to 6 years in related project delivery practice and process improvement position.
  • Analytics: Outstanding analytical skills are required to bring together large volumes of information and highlight the key themes and make recommendations for a senior executive audience.
  • Change agent - positively engages with and supports, advocates, communicates and implements change.
  • Collaborative: Role models a supportive and empathetic approach to working together. Seeks to understand others' contrasting perspectives in order to overcome resistance and find common ground.
  • Works through formal and informal channels to achieve outcomes.
  • Supportive: guiding and coaching project delivery teams and sponsors to implement project/program outcomes, building an environment of confidence and trust
  • Experience with an Agile way of work and how it relates to a PMO, portfolio and governance.
  • Familiarity with project portfolio management (PPM) tools ideal. Planview, PowerBI, SharePoint O365 and other applications technical knowledge desirable.  Experiences in application management training and support.

Job Description

  • Support tasks that are common across PPO and all projects, such as project database administration,& upkeep , weekly status report generation & follow-up, data gathering for project communications etc.                                     
  • Define the relevant data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data including resource and OBS structures and financial information.
  • Support overall PPO administration:
    • Support meeting set-up and calendaring for PPO (Project and Portfolio Office), as well as support meeting activities, such as room prep and minutes
    • Planview data administration: to mitigate knowledge risk and reduce current workload and capacity burden on current PM expert Planview SME for team 
    • Handle new hire onboarding, training and general inquiries
  • Support the use and compliance of Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) tools
  • Support the program and project governance and comply with group and regional requirements on policy, DoA, risk and Audit
  • Support the system to monitor project progress, financials, and resource allocations, providing further transparency and support improved management decisions
  • Act at a coach/lead to other junior team members
  • Ensure the completeness and integrity of project data and provide support to country PMs and end users as required.
  • Ensure alignment of processes with the PMO tools that support them
