Job Description and Qualification:
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the continuous operation and performance of the enterprise voice infrastructure and provides technical expertise in the day-to-day engineering of the IP Telephony and IP Contact Center environments.
· Work directly with outside telephone service providers to troubleshoot outages both off-site and on-site and is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of all telephone equipment at all office locations.
· Analyze and resolve communications problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide documentation and end user training where required
· Monitors and makes recommendations respective to system capacity, including traffic studies, routing, etc. Monitor manufacturer announcements and assess/make recommendations to address impact on company’s environment.
· Supports the implementation and setup of new voice communications systems, applications and services to meet business requirements across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College degree
· At least 1-year experience in VoIP administration/support.
· Has basic knowledge in Avaya IPO, Avaya Aura, and other VoIP related technologies.
· Preferred but not required, Certification in Avaya Aura, Avaya IPO
· Basic understanding of H.323, MGCP & ISDN
· Demonstrates ability to meet commitments in a large IT project environment
