Job Description and Qualification:

Our client is a leading trading house in Japan running the plastic, chemical and electronics business.


  • Graduate of Chemical Engineering/Chemistry (preferably Licensed)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in waste water treatment sales; with working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, STPP, handling chemicals and/or equipment for wastewater treatment facilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong follow-through, organization skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong technical presentation skills
  • Computer literate – Powerpoint, Excel, Word, SalesForce
  • Self-disciplined with strong work ethics and track record of success
  • Team player committed to working with a team of highly dynamic sales people
  • Very good business analytical skills
  • Experience with preparing and submitting detailed customized proposals
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and leadership skills


  • Develop, implement and adapt a working sales plan
  • Be able to make appointments with potential and existing customers for suppliers’ visits
  • Effectively penetrate mining, sugar milling, food and beverage, institutional, and other industrial markets
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with both customers and suppliers/principals
  • Analyze and meet customer needs
  • Develop and sustain current customers while building revenue through new customer acquisition
  • Train customers/distributors in product knowledge and applications
  •  Routinely visit customer facilities for sales and/or services applications
  • Timely submission of customer visit reports for monitoring of progress
  • Accomplish and complete accreditation requirements for new suppliers and new customers
  • Manage company’s products and equipment, participate in installations, test and observe product performance, repair and adjust equipment as needed, set chemical dosages, inventory product and place orders
  • Confers with immediate manager on sales policies, product revisions, and pricing changes
  • Keeps team abreast of market changes and potential new sales leads through reports and close communication
  • Plans and maintains accurate records of travels, meetings, proposals and sales. Ensures all information is accurately documented in CRM (Sales Force).
  • Reviews project specifications and bid forms to ensure offers are technically compliant and commercially competitive offer for all bids
  • Follow-up bids until awarded/lost to ensure positioning to closeout all opportunities
  • Manage stocks of samples
