Job Description and Qualification:

Key Accountabilities:

1.      Delivery of successful initiatives in a timely manner based on project objectives and success criteria. Able to support the test lead in development of overall test process/structure
2.      Promoting and enabling a high degree of collaboration among Development team/IT, Project coordinator, Business Analyst/SMEs and Test Lead to ensure successful, quick delivery.

3.      Creation of documents in various formats including Test Plan, Test Cases, User Stories, Test Evidence, Test Scripts, Defect evidence and other test artifacts.
4.      Identification and escalation of key risks, issues and dependencies, and clear communication and reporting on testing errors.
5.      Successful planning and implementation of testing as well as identify and recommend resolution to testing errors.                                                                                                                                                                              

Minimum Requirement to Hire:

  • MS Excel functions and formulas
  • Knowledgeable in best in class processes, tools and technology as well as the ability to apply practical results-oriented approach to accelerate the delivery of solution assessments for execution
  • Windows Application Troubleshooting.
  • Must pass current job expectations and meet performance metrics.
  • Must not have any attendance issues and have not received any disciplinary action.
  • Must know HP QC ALM and JIRA
  • Must complete the testing bootcamp and pass the assessment (if applicable)
  • Must understand the basic principle of the waterfall and agile (scrum) software development methodologies.
  • Must be attentive to details
  • Flexible on shifts and overtime maybe required to meet business deadline
  • Willing to travel depending on the requirements of the project

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years tenure in current position or a Business Process Associate with 5 years experience in insurance industry.
  • Must able to understand the API principle
  • Must have experience in using / testing ERP, e-business suite, Oracle/SAP based application, web application, mobile application, e-commerce and other complex desktop or mobile apps.
  • Must be able to do an end to end STLC (from requirement assessment, test case design up to test execution and defect management)
  • Must have experience in working on a waterfall and agile projects


  • Computer Science / Information Technology or Financial or other relevant post-secondary education preferred.

Work Experience:

2+ years of progressive responsibility and accountability in one or more of:

  • Data Analytics
  • Data warehouse development and design
  • IT/IS testing
  • Development of organization-wide data policies and processes
  • ETL development
  • Business Intelligence
  • Data Governance

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent comprehension, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office suite including Word, MS Project and SharePoint
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel features such as pivot tables, pivot charts, filters, and functions
  • Database skills in SQL Server and Oracle. Other database technologies are an advantage
