Job Description

Accountable to the Head of Global Finance Shared Services – North America and the company's Project Management Lead, the FSS TM is primarily accountable for leading and driving North America Finance migrations to mature the Global Finance Shared Service Operating Model and to enable service excellence. Responsibilities will include the following:

Transitions management and oversight of North America Finance migrations into the company:
  •     Lead Transition Manager for the sending side on migration activities
  •     Central support for onshore stakeholders around planning for knowledge transfer and preparing for transition readiness (i.e, identify and coordinate opportunities to streamline processes prior to transition where possible)
  •     Support Finance stakeholders around crafting and execution of communication plans related to transitions.
  •     Partner with the Control Tower to provide weekly updates migration status and progress for key stakeholders. This includes monitoring of hiring progress and performance trending toward GO LIVE
  •     Facilitate periodic review of SLA performance standards to ensure standardization and reasonability with onshore stakeholders
Promote the practice of business process reengineering (“BPR”) to enable standardization, automation, and optimization of global shared services
  •     Establish a protocol for sharing and adoption of best practices across finance service delivery teams
  •     Partnering with the company's change management and automation to enable execution of process improvements
  •     Solicit support and buy-in from key Finance stakeholders on initiatives for standardization, automation, and optimization
  • Identify transition opportunities along shared service value chains and propose to key Finance stakeholders:
  •     Consult with local and regional controllers on local regulatory requirements when crafting the location strategy proposal while ensuring alignment of the location strategy to Group Finance’s global strategies and policies
  •     Lead the execution of location strategies by collaborating effectively with key point-of-contacts from business partners.
  •     Partner with the Control Tower and the company's Finance Service Delivery domain leads on project planning the implementation timelines of the location strategy
  •     Integrating and aligning the location strategy timelines with Corporate and Regional initiatives
  •     Proactively contribute in discussions around the Finance Target Operating Model
Living the Manulife Values in partnering with the Finance Shared Services Domain leads on transition management, business process re-engineering, and strategic planning around the global shared services operating model. Ensure that outcomes of the initiatives above are measured, tracked, and reported.

Qualifications
  •     10+ years of experience in Finance project/program management using leading methodologies
  •     Must have a CPA designation
  •     Experience in building and expanding capabilities and teams for large scale organizations; Demonstrated leadership experience, operating in a transforming multi location environment
  •     Understand Finance and Accounting principles from the ground up and the key levers that will deliver superior results
  •     Strong project management skills, managing large size projects with high visibility and across various lines of business and disciplines.
  •     Communications judgment and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  •     Advanced working knowledge of Finance platforms such as GL technology and other systems; and experience using enterprise planning tools (Office 365 Suite, Power BI, Qlik)
  •     Self-starter with demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
  •     Advanced Proficiency in MS Office Suite includes Power Point, MS Project, Excel, Word, One Note
  •     Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills. Demonstrates initiative and confidence to make sound judgement calls.
  •     Ability to work in ambiguous environment with matrix reporting lines
  •     Adaptability to change and managing workloads with aggressive timelines.
  •     Flexible on shift and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
  •     Six Sigma or Project Management Certification is a plus.
  •     Must be amenable to work in Diliman, Quezon City.
