Job Description and Qualification:

The Human Resources Vice President is supporting The Company’s strategic goals and improving The Company’s business performance, with overall responsibility for human resources operations in The Company’s Global Business Center (GBC) in partnership with the Head of the GBC and US leadership. The position will have the responsibility to ensure that the GBC provides all US business units with effective and efficient transactions processing, understand customer needs, strive for customer satisfaction, and have a long-term vision to bring leading practices to the organization. In addition, the Human Resources Vice President oversees local facility management activities and human resources activities such as talent acquisition and workforce management. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create a GBC-wide strategy for the human resources function. Lead core human resources activities to support the Health operations and lead support human resources and facility management activities for the GBC. Supervise and enhance the strategies, plans, and policies supporting the human resources function
  • Oversee activities focusing on advising and administering leaves of absence activities for US business units (leave options, rights and responsibilities, benefits and compensation, and required communication while on leave)
  • Oversee compensation analysis activities to provide analytical support to design, implement, and monitor compensation for both union and non-union employees for US business units
  • Oversee pre-boarding activities for newly hired the employees for US business units
  • Define and oversee all support human resources activities for the GBC including maintaining workforce strategy, recruiting employees, developing and counseling employees, managing employee relations, rewarding and retaining employees, redeploying and retiring employees, managing employee information, and managing employee communications
  • Define and oversee all support facility management activities for the GBC including facilities management and maintenance, general administration, and security
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates
  • Monitor and report on performance and take corrective actions as required
  • Ensure that activities performed meet quality standards
  • Responsible for budgeting staff and finances for human resources functional tower
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the GBC and US business units and provide assistance with problems stakeholders may encounter

  • Develop and drive organizational effectiveness and support the GBC on all major initiatives

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience managing teams in a shared service center environment, with proven experience in training, coaching, and developing key resources
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across diverse geographies/locations and business units
  • Fundamental knowledge of human resources practices and procedures and healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Technical knowledge of HR specialties including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, staffing, training and compensation
  • Must have excellent communications, team working, leadership, and change orientation skills
  • Willingness to travel

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required Experience: Have 8-10+ years of experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources

Preferred Experience: Have 12+ years of experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources. Experience working in a shared service organization serving US business units

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education: Master's Degree, SHRM certification
