Job Description and Qualification:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Development, enhancement, maintenance and support of Web portal, security, site content and supporting applications.
  • Create and design high quality, cost effective Web / eBusiness Applications, and web-based tools in support of Liebert worldwide sales growth, productivity improvements (internal and external), and enhancements to customer service delivery.
  • Attend meetings on specific/major projects on behalf of Web/eBusiness department to provide input on design criteria and specification definitions.
  • Use departmental design, architectural, and development standards, and sound coding techniques to develop, test, implement and support web applications.
  • Document and fix identified bugs and defects.
  • Work with IS/IT groups to determine software development requirements.
  • Utilizes issue tracking software to manage non project workloads providing necessary support, maintenance and enhancements of existing web applications.
  • Create required documentation for all phases of web / eBusiness applications development and support.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university, preferably in Computer Science or related field. An Associate’s degree (or military certification) in computer science and 2 years of information technology work experience will be held as equivalent. Four years of work experience in information technology will also be held as equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in an information technology performing web development.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming / Design.
  • Web Standards compliant HTML/XHTML development using style sheets (CSS).
  • Knowledge of Dynamic HTML, XML, and HTML 5 are desirable.
  • Use of relational SQL based database design and development.
  • Ability to learn new technologies / processes.
  • Driven to succeed in a fast paced environment with the organizational capability of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
  • Close attention to detail, follow-up, with sense of urgency and perseverance.
